It wasn’t until the arrival of my children that I realized just how debilitating broken sleep and sleep deprivation could be. Trying to survive during the day with a baby and toddler, on very little broken sleep, was often quite overwhelming. Gaining the knowledge and ability to help my children sleep well was empowering and from that experience developed an interest in infant and toddler sleep. Having experienced first hand the effects of poor sleep on myself, and my family, I had the desire to help other families struggling with their little one’s sleep too.
As a sleep consultant I believe in looking at the entire picture; sleep environment, diet, child’s temperament, your parenting philosophy and the needs of your family. By working closely with you to develop a tailored plan, I aim to make your days and nights more predictable so that you and your whole family have the energy to live a happy and healthy life. “We were at our wits end with our 14 week old sons awful sleeping habits. From the day we brought him home from the hospital, he has been a very awake and alert baby who has been a persistently poor sleeper. Joel WAS going down to bed super late in the evening, waking every 1-2 hours overnight, always required a feed or excessive rocking and patting to get to sleep, and taking crappy 30min naps during the day. NOW he is in his cot for every sleep, has a bedtime of 6.30pm, wakes only twice at night, is taking chunky daytime naps and has learned to settle and resettle himself to sleep without our help!
