What exactly does the term sleep training mean?

If you've ever asked about sleep training in a mothers group, or googled the term, you'll know that there is a wide definition of what sleep training actually means.

A lot of people assume wrongly that sleep training is synonymous with cry it out. Simply put, that when someone mentions doing some sleep training, they mean leaving your baby to scream all night long....

Wrong...

When we talk about sleep training we are talking about taking part in our process to achieve you and your family a better night's sleep.

This can involve developing new routines and settling tools, evaluating nutrition, associations, environmental and family factors and more.

Check out my description of what exactly our process here at Baby Sleep Consultant is.

  • Heya.
I urgently need help with my toddler and her sleeping!!
I unfortunately don’t have a phone that can answer calls. So is there a number I can call you on? Or a number and time we can organise you to call on during the week??
    Kind Regards
